A very well known and reputable UK financial services regulatory body that has launched a new digital, data & intelligence department is now looking to scale out their wider design functions.

As part of this agenda, a newly created Principal Service Designer is now required to spearhead service design thinking & methodology for the organisation, with a focus on best in class human and user-centred product & service design.


You will be stepping into a relatively new team of design professionals, focused on partnering with wider UK banks & financial services as the go to regulatory industry regulatory body.

As a senior individual service design practictioner, your highly dynamic day to day will involve mentoring and supporting the professional growth of design practitioners and service design improvements, developing journey maps, identifying pain points, mapping out service blueprints and other artefacts that best communicate systems, opportunity, and vision to varying audiences.


  • 5+ years dedicated Service Design experience within a professional servicebased industry, ideally financial services, corporate B2B, consultancy or government agency backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated success working within a large, complex matrix environment where stakeholder management at all levels will be essential.
  • Proven experience & understanding of how Service Design and Interaction Design work together in practice.
  • A problem solving mentality, utilising data, insights, design thinking and agile ways of working to test & iterate what you do and embed a learning culture across the wider organisation.
