Kingsley Consulting is recruiting a Commercial Manager/Senior QS for a leading External Envelope Contractor.

Kingsley have partnered with a highly regarded, professional and fast-growing External Envelope Contractor who through their continued successfuldelivery on high profile, high value projects now seek to make this senior appointment to help support the continued growth of the business.


Location:
Hybrid role (Home based with travel to either the Hinkley or Aylesbury office when required). The role will require frequent travel to London or other project locations within the UK as and when required.

Remuneration:
Car or Car allowance, bonus, pension, 21 days holiday + Bank holidays.

Role Overview:
Operating in a hybrid role working from home/office location and site activity (Mainly London but could be Nationally also).
The Senior Surveyor will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

  • Implementation and management of the businesses project cost model, undertake value engineering, subcontractor procurement management, negotiation of subcontract terms and conditions and monthly valuations.
  • Working closely with the Directors of the business, along with the; commercial, estimating and delivery teams to ensure commercial input is provided accurately to meet and deliver the contract requirements.
  • Project profitability planning (for maximisation), identification and valuation of variations, preparing for Board detailed monthly cost reports and forecasting model.
  • Preparation of delay notices in accordance with contract terms.
  • Relevant Degree/Qualification within Construction or Surveying
  • 7+ years' experience minimum working as a QS or Surveyor ideally with experience gained in a Tier 2 Contractor.
  • Experience of working within JCT, NEC contracts.
  • Experience within Facades, External Envelope would be advantageous.
Commercially astute.

  • Able to work effectively and collaboratively within a small, profitable but fastgrowing contracting business where accuracy is paramount.
  • Motivated to drive career forward to Director level.
