Description

The main role will be overseeing the smooth running of the house which included hands-on housekeeping, laundry and ironing, general daily house cleaning and seasonal cleaning requirements.

Reporting directly to the family you will be an integral part of a family unit and team who are all hands-on to help and keep the home running effectively and in pristine condition.

A 'can-do' attitude is an essential requirement for this role with an excellent attention for detail.

The family are looking for someone who will remain long-term and who will enjoy working in a large, busy but stunning country home.

There are no pets to care for at this property.


DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

• All cleaning duties to include bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and dining areas as well as living areas and unused rooms
• Laundry and ironing collecting, washing, ironing and wardrobe placement hand washing some items
• Cleaning replenishment and ordering to ensure adequate stock of household cleaning products and essentials
• Changing bed linens
• Keeping a clean and tidy and organised kitchen with shopping lists and cooking essentials topped up. Keeping fridges and freezers organised, clean and
• Cooking and baking from time to time for the family understanding of food safety and hygiene and allergies will be required and an interest in cooking is desirable
• Organising waste and recycling
• Polishing brass and silver, antiques, and fine furniture (occasional)
• Setting tables & assisting with service at events (occasional)
• Keeping patios, entrances, and steps clean and tidy, interior window cleaning
• Adhoc errand running and grocery shopping; receiving deliveries

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

• Experience in a similar role within a private household
• Flexibility in terms of duties and changes of schedules
• Team player with a positive, cando attitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Very high attention to detail
• Good standard of written and spoken English
• Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information appropriately
• Longevity as demonstrated by previous employment
• Able to prioritise and multitask effectively
• Right to work within the UK
• Live within a commutable distance from Woodford, Northamptonshire with UK driving license
• Excellent checkable reference
