We have an excellent opportunity for an Administrator to join our Document Processing team based in our Nottingham office. Our hybrid working policy requires that you work at this location for a minimum of two days each week.

Key Responsibilities


To succeed as an Administrator in our Records and Document Processing team, you will need to demonstrate previous office based administrative experience, excellent communication skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Knowledge of Intellectual Property is preferred but not necessary as full training will be given.


As this is a busy department, a positive attitude is essential along with excellent communication skills and team working qualities.

As an Administrator working in our Document and Records Management team you will be responsible for:

  • Recognising and processing IP communications from both internal and external sources.
  • Updating our inhouse records management system.
  • New matter creation
  • New client creation
  • Matter file closure
  • Validation and proof reading of correspondence from official sources.
  • Receiving, scanning, and processing hard copy documentation into the company.
  • Processing of courier requests from all sources within Potter Clarkson
  • Other tasks as may be required by the department manager.

Requirements:


  • Accuracy, precision and an excellent attention to detail is key to this role. The checking of both internally and externally generated documentation to ensure that correct information is captured onto our Records Management system is critical to the accuracy of our clients' portfolios and to the smooth running of the company's internal procedures.
  • Comfortable working to daily deadlines.
  • Some working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent keyboard skills necessary for the role, due to the need for accurate and precise data entry.
  • Reliability and the ability to work well within a team environment but also on your own is extremely important.
  • Previous experience of office based administrative procedures.
  • Prior knowledge of IP would be desirable but not essential as all training will be given.
