The Position

As our Modeshift Coordinator, you will be responsible for promoting sustainable travel in primary schools, a critical aspect of our mission to inspire and promote physical activity among young people.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is ready to take on challenges and handle all aspects of this role while promoting our other departments to your customers.

35 hours per week

- £20,000

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement sustainable travel plans for primary schools in Hull through Modeshift STARS.
Work with schools to promote and increase active travel such as walking, cycling, and scooting.
Deliver educational activities and events to engage children, parents, and staff in sustainable travel initiatives.
Develop partnerships with local authorities, businesses, and community groups to promote sustainable travel.
Collect and analyse data to evaluate the effectiveness of sustainable travel initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
Provide guidance and support to schools to ensure they meet the Modeshift STARS accreditation scheme.
Monitor and report on progress and outcomes to stakeholders and funders
Complete and coordinate mapping meetings
Coordinate delivery resources
Undertake venue risk assessments, Venue Induction, Health & Safety & Safeguarding monitoring

Knowledge and Experience Requirements

Experience working with primary schools and children.
Knowledge of sustainable travel initiatives and the benefits of active travel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management tools
Hold a Level 2 coaching badge (Desirable, training can be provided)
Experience in similar role (Desirable)
Full Clean UK driving license and access to a car is essential.
