The Position

As our Modeshift Coordinator, you will be responsible for promoting sustainable travel in primary schools, a critical aspect of our mission to inspire and promote physical activity among young people.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is ready to take on challenges and handle all aspects of this role while promoting our other departments to your customers.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement sustainable travel plans for primary schools in Hull through Modeshift STARS.
  • Work with schools to promote and increase active travel such as walking, cycling, and scooting.
  • Deliver educational activities and events to engage children, parents, and staff in sustainable travel initiatives.
  • Develop partnerships with local authorities, businesses, and community groups to promote sustainable travel.
  • Collect and analyse data to evaluate the effectiveness of sustainable travel initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to schools to ensure they meet the Modeshift STARS accreditation scheme.
  • Monitor and report on progress and outcomes to stakeholders and funders
  • Complete and coordinate mapping meetings
  • Coordinate delivery resources
  • Undertake venue risk assessments, Venue Induction, Health & Safety & Safeguarding monitoring

Knowledge and Experience Requirements

  • Experience working with primary schools and children.
  • Knowledge of sustainable travel initiatives and the benefits of active travel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management tools
  • Hold a Level 2 coaching badge (Desirable, training can be provided)
  • Experience in similar role (Desirable)
  • Full Clean UK driving license and access to a car is essential.
