Department


The Education Policy Support Section supports the PVC Education in the development of education policy and the management of quality assurance and enhancement across the collegiate University.

The section services Education Committee and its subcommittees, provides advice and guidance to departments, faculties and colleges within Oxford, and handles certain types of student cases.


The Policy Officer is responsible for key quality assurance processes and servicing and supporting Eduaction Committee and its principal subcommittees.

About the Role


The Policy Officer will ensure the efficient and effective operation of the University's quality assurance framework through managing and reviewing the operation of key quality assurance and enhancement processes, developing and presenting proposals for necessary changes in policy and process before subcommittees and panels of Education Committee and divisional committees.

They will also service principal subcommittees of Education Committee, and will support the management of Education Committee itself and will provide advice and guidance to administrative and academic staff across the collegiate University on matters of education policy.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position from October 2023 until June 2024 to cover a period of secondment.


About You
You will have a good first degree or equivalent, and experience of higher education or similar environment.

The post-holder will be required to demonstrate excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills, and to develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of the University's education policy framework and governance structure.
