Robertson Bell have partnered with a well-known charitable organisation who strive to support thousands of vulnerable people every year, whilst they recruit for a Finance Officer on a permanent basis.

This position will be responsible for providing essentialsupport to the Finance Team and working closely with the financial institutions on a daily basis.


The duties of the Finance Officer are:

  • Provide invaluable support to the Finance Officer and completing quarterly VAT return reports.
  • Assisting in the management of the reconciliation backlog and bringing this down to an audit approved level.
  • Full responsibility for maintaining close relationships with relevant financial institutions to resolve any issues such as bounced cheques, missing information or unreconciled petty cash.
  • Play a critical part in reconciling bank accounts for all the charitable facilities and ensuring information is posted correctly.


This role is perfect for someone who has a passion for the charitable sector and looking to grow in their finance career.

The organisation offers fantastic benefits such as study support and excellent study leave as well as flexible working arrangements.

Their offices are based in South London and employees only required to come into the office for two days per week.


  • A relevant accounting degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven successful customer service experience and abilities.
  • Strong MS Excel skills with knowledge of Pivot Tables and VLookups.
  • Currently working in a similar finance position with strong reconciliation and problem solving skills.
  • Experience working in the charity sector.
