Rate:
£70-£100 per day, depending on experience

Principal Resourcing are actively working to recruit a
Primary HLTA with PE Specialism to provide cover for the on-site specialist provision of a primary academy school, based in
Bradford, West Yorkshire.

There is a requirement for
day-to-day and
long-term cover to support disengaged pupils with the PE curriculum, from
February 2023.

The position will be
ongoing to meet the needs of the school.

You will ideally have KS1 and KS2 curriculum knowledge and experience. This role could suit a early career teacher (ECT) who is looking to gain extra experience within the classroom.

We are specifically looking for a HLTA with experience or keen interest in delivering the PE curriculum to challenging pupils within the on-site alternative provision.

Within the role you will be required to:

Teach groups of children in the Teachers absence
Support and enthuse young learners to reach their potential
React to children's interests to offer a child centred approach
Provide opportunities that will excite and ignite a passion for learning
Ensure children are engaging in their learning and actively participating
Set the highest expectations for behaviour and achievement
Support disengaged pupils with the PE curriculum

Skills and attributes:

Experience supporting children at KS1/KS2 is essential
Cache Level 3 minimum or equivalent experience in a similar setting
Experience of supporting challenging pupils is advantageous
Minimum of 5 GCSE's, including Maths, English and Science at Grade C or above
Have empathy, patience and the drive to make a difference
An observant and responsive approach
A positive, energetic and enthusiastic attitude
Foster positive relationships with colleagues, children and parents/carers
