A hidden gem on the outskirts of Tewkesbury, this lovely precision engineering company in Ashchurch is looking to hire a Quality Inspector on a permanent basis.

You won't have heard of us because jobs don't come up very often and you'll only have heard of just a few of our customers because we make some really specialist components for industrial projects which often go under the radar.

We're a friendly bunch who take a pride in the work we do and we make a decent cup of tea too

We're now in a position to take on a new Quality Inspector to join our small team, in order to take on full responsibility for all inspection matters for CNC machined components.

Well organised and well-equipped shop floor
A mix of brand new, state of the art CNC lathes and mills plus some well maintained conventional/manual lathes, grinders, drills, mills plus a full suite of metrology equipment from micrometers and gauges to programmable CMM

What experience will you need?

You'll be an experienced Quality Inspector, comfortable completing first offs and in-process inspections, carrying out first article and final inspections against drawings.

As an experienced Quality Inspector you'll know this already but to be clear, you'll be confident in using a range of precision inspection tools to check dimensions of machined components to include gauges, micrometers, vernier calipers, microscopes, shadowgraphs, CMM and similar equipment.

It would be great if you have experience of programming a CMM too but you'll be trained up to program this if you don't have the experience.

You'll also know that paperwork comes with this job too, which I'm sure you're very happy to hear. You'll have a good idea of what you're doing where this is concerned but we'll get you up to speed with our processes too - perhaps you can even bring some ideas with you

Ashchurch, Tewkesbury, commutable from Worcester, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stonehouse and surrounding areas.

Working hours: 39 hour working week, day shift, early finish on Fridays, overtime readily available.

Pay rate:
As a guide, we're looking to pay a basic salary of around £30,000 and we're happy to discuss your requirements too
