The Role:
Client Engagement Associate

This is a proactive, commercially driven role where success is ultimately measured in revenue generation and sales activity.

CEAs must be confident and self-motivated, and keen to work closely with senior colleagues as well as clients to drive the commercial agenda.


Revenues will come from:

  • Identifying leads for syndicated data system upsell as well as consulting opportunities. Once the CEA has identified leads for the above, they will pass/work alongside the CEEs for opportunity conversion and closure.
  • Managing and responding to inbound requests from clients working directly with our research team to help clients better leverage and understand our data and analysis. The goal here would also be to ensure every client is either part of the SCE or Virtuous Circle program.
  • Educating clients on how Euromonitor not only helps others in their company but others within and outside of their industry. A key element of this activity is for CEA to ensure all custom research capabilities are promoted to all clients.

Key responsibilities;

  • Secure contract renewal and grow revenues for each client.
  • Develop client relationships:
- understand company organisation, strategy and priorities, through mapping and strategic planning, grow network of users, grow usage, successfully convey benefits of Passport and Euromonitor's methodology, establish Passport as must-have, develop partnership style relationship.

  • Train users inperson and/or via online demonstrations.
  • Provide expert research support to all clients, through detailed understanding of Euromonitor's product portfolio and research methodology.
  • Encourage information sharing to improve quality of data in Passport.
  • Collaborate with industry teams:
- develop product offering to meet the changing needs of our client base
- leverage research and industry expertise into the client base


Performance Measures:


  • Client retention measured against 70%
  • Incremental revenue / upsell against monthly and annual targets (this could be measured against YTD end of quarter)
  • Completeness of client maps / org charts, knowledge of clients' businesses.
  • Upsell strategy for all clients and clear plan to execute said strategies.
  • Number of new users registered on Passport.
  • Number of Passport demos (where part of cross sell / Passport upsell agenda).
  • Number of live upsell opportunities in pipeline, proposals submitted.

  • Highly selfmotivated.
  • Tenacity, drive, positive/cando attitude and persuasiveness mentality to help close deals.
  • Target oriented ability to meet monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Ability to manage workload across all clients, balancing proactive commercial activities with reactive client support.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Keen to learn and share internally as well as with client's consumer markets trends and dynamics
