Production Designer
Permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week


Salary:
£26,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience
IB Global Centre, Cardiff
Hybrid working opportunity.


Job Purpose:


As a Production Designer, you will manage a diverse workload utilizing a range of tools, including the Adobe Creative Suite of software and Microsoft Office.

The role requires excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to deliver materials to high quality standards in print and digital formats within the agreed production schedules.


Job Duties

  • Accurately develop, build and amend IB assessments, including associated images and illustrations, in line with house style and within agreed deadlines.
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders, offer advice on the design and layout of IB assessments.
  • Offer support and guidance to the publishing team in the analysis and resolution of technical issues.
  • Assist with the integration of new systems, software and working practices.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent skills in using Adobe Creative Suite, in particular InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • An exceptional eye for detail and meticulous accuracy.
  • Strong design and technical skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and a diligent approach to working autonomously.
  • Capacity to proactively manage changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Advanced communication skills and the ability to effectively provide solutions to technical challenges.
  • A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, or experience of working within a relevant professional environment. Including experience in a graphic design, artworker and/or technical illustrator role.
  • Good typographical knowledge.
  • Ability to work under pressure within a flexible working environment.
  • An excellent command of the English language.

Desirable:


  • Ability to work in French, Spanish, Korean or Japanese.
  • Multimedia experience.
  • Adobe Audition software.
  • Experience of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of the IB and the IB Programmes.
