We are looking for someone to bring their experience, skills, and knowledge of campaigning, community impact, or political activity to help improve student life and act on their concerns.


Lancaster University Students' Union provides excellent services and opportunities to support and inspire our diverse population of over 16,500 students to make the most of their experiences at University.

With students at the very heart of all we do, we are looking for a highly effective individual to join our staff team.


The Campaigns & Organising Co-ordinator will:

  • help students, student representatives, and student networks undertake political, campaigning, and lobbying activity,
- grow and develop student liberation and campaigns networks, and


This is a student-facing role where you will spend most of your time working with our passionate, enthusiastic, and diverse student activists.

Though you will have a dedicated workstation, you will not be chained to it.

We're looking for a warm and approachable person with strong interpersonal skills who can help our students achieve what matters to them.

This is an intrinsically rewarding and interesting role; no day will be the same.


You don't need to have an in-depth knowledge of university matters, but an understanding or learnt appreciation of liberation issues would be beneficial.

A demonstrable appreciation of students' educational, financial, and social circumstances will also be useful.

We are committed to developing you as an expert practitioner so a commitment to personal and professional development is essential.

This is a full-time position and permanent role. You will be able to work flexible hours and in a hybrid (remote/in-person) manner in line with University policies.

We offer 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays and University closure days at Christmas, New Year, and Easter.
