Key Responsibilities
- Maintain financial ledgers and branch accounts.
- Reconcile various bank and balance sheet control accounts on a monthly basis.
- Maintain fixed asset register and reconcile it with the general ledger.
- Produce international branch and consolidated management accounts.
- Produce UK statutory accounts.
- Produce of monthly management reports.
- Produce monthly analysis to support the operational teams.
- Regular cash flow forecasting
- Develop and review annual budgets and forecasts
- Prepare supporting analysis and documentation to assist the Group FD with investment decisions
- Produce sales reports and KPIs by profit centre.
- Responsible for payroll reconciliation, VAT returns and Corporation tax (with external support)
- Responsible for developing business models, analysis and presentations using Excel and Powerpoint.
- Build strong relationships with trading partners and banking providers.
- Liaise with local and overseas auditors.
- Work closely with the operational team to provide financial support to all areas of the business.
- Manage the people reporting to you effectively and in accordance with the management standards and procedures.
- Build relationships with group finance staff.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of the foreign exchange / multiple currencies in order to be able to relate it to the work involved.
- Develop a good understanding of money laundering procedures in order to identify any potential errors and risks to the business.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Technically sound with latest IFRS and FRS102 knowledge
- An understanding of foreign exchange and branch accounting
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong business partnering and interpersonal skills
- Organised, flexible and easily adaptable to a changing environment
- A strong eye for detail and comfortable working with large volumes of data in Excel. High degree of proficiency in Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with MS Navision would be advantageous
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to multi task and manage numerous priorities.
Qualifications
- Relevant Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years' experience in a retail multiunit, preferably multi currency environment.
