Description

Due to an internal promotion, we are looking to recruit a Head of Project Management to lead our 'big bet' innovation projects within our Pharmaceutical fields of excipients, adjuvants and lipids and to coordinate project teams across our global pharma business.


This is a role for an individual with a background in driving large scale innovation projects and working globally to align, influence and deliver long term innovation projects in line with business and market demands.


Who we're looking for:


  • Degree/Msc qualified in a technical discipline (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology etc) with prior experience leading long term innovation projects in the Pharmaceutical sector
  • Excellent communication skills to influence and engage across global cross functional teams including marketing, commercial and R&D
  • Comprehensive understanding of project governance and risks whilst also driving opportunities to continuously improve our project management culture
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to influence and promote diversity and engagement to deliver a high performing project culture and capability within the organisation

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of 13yr plans to ensure the achievement of project objectives.
  • Driving multiple projects through to success by prioritising multiple activities across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead project teams to comprehensively define the project requirements, encompassing the scope, potential risks, technical prerequisites, and necessary investments.
  • Provide innovative solutions to key project challenges such as the introduction of new and unknown technologies, budget management and issues with third parties or external bodies/ community groups.
  • Encourage creativity and innovation by questioning traditional methods of working, thinking, and decisionmaking to ensure projects are delivered at speed
  • Embrace diverse perspectives and ideas to pave new and unique paths to success
  • Collaborate with the team to develop a comprehensive project plans, including a detailed timeline, key milestones, and clearly defined roles and responsibilities to ensure projects are completed on time.
  • Create a positive and supportive environment for the team to stay motivated and inspired throughout the project journey.

Identify and assess risks associated with the projects and subsequently engage with key project stakeholders to develop and implement effective mitigation measures.
