Subject Matter Expert, Legal and Compliance
Remote UK & Ireland
12 Month Contract -
Job Purpose:
Acting as part of a global specialized legal services team in my clients Global Services Centre. Supporting multi sites with legal services needs cost-effectively and with quality and service excellence. Providing expert commercialand clinical contracting and legal project management support.
Accountabilities include:
- Act as a senior member of a global legal services team providing legal support including the negotiation, execution and management of commercial/life sciences contracts, e.g. clinical trial agreements, quality agreements.
Support other standard contracting processes related to the life sciences industry such as nondisclosure agreements, data privacy agreements, research collaboration agreements, contracts with health care professionals or healthcare organisations, lettersof authorization and letters of indemnification.
- Review, revise and negotiate contracts in a timely manner using own or client templates in accordance with a pre-defined checklist / process or on an ad hoc basis.
- Act as escalation point for legal queries for clinical project management teams iContribute to ensuring adherence to guidelines for CRO'sin relation to clinical trial contracting requirements.
Facilitate the onboarding of CRO legal teams and ensure the clients guidelines are communicated and understood.
- Develop a knowledge bank to incorporate all new learnings, contract change requests, queries, recommendations and rules applicable to clinical site agreements and legal documents.
- Attend trainings and stay updated on legislative and regulatory developments in the life sciences sector, industry bestpractices, and areas of focus/hot topics for external audits.
- Update CONEXTS training decks / playbooks to incorporate new learnings and clinical trial contracting in practice.- Participate in the on-boarding of new associates in relation to legal, dataprivacy and compliance awareness by delivering introduction to integrity and compliance sessions.
- Develop CONEXTS Legal and Compliance team's legal services functional and operational delivery and capabilities to facilitate growth in volume and range ofservices.
Your Background:
- Qualified lawyer with 2+ years' Post Qualification Experience.
- Experience in clinical trial contracting and related life sciences contracting processes preferred.
- Familiarity with process set-up, quality KPIs, utilizing operational tools and operational issues / management
- Strong business focus and customer centric approach
- Strong and proactive and proven ability to provide legal acumen/ judgement to enhance decision making
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication, influencing and client management skills
- Excellent project management skills.
- Excellent organization and workload management skills.
