Description

Junior and Graduate Job Description - 2024
Enims is an environmental and ecological consultancy who deliver a wide range of services across the UK. We are proud to support our Highways, Railway and Domestic clients.

Since 2006, we have been using our innovative approach to minimise environmental impacts in a professional and efficient way.

We enjoy working with our clients and can be relied on to deliver to the highest standard and be responsive, pragmatic and proactive in supporting project goals and outcomes.

We are a small but mighty team who work closely with many recognised ecology specialists from across the broad spectrum of ecology and always work collaboratively with clients and colleagues alike.

We are recruiting for a Junior or Graduate consultant ecologist to join our team because of our expanding projects.

We have recently won some large and exciting schemes and are looking for individuals, who are driven, enthusiastic and want to progress their career at the same time as supporting excellent delivery for enims and our clients.

This is an opportunity for a newly qualified ecologist, or an ecologist who is looking for a permanent role having had some experience in the survey season as a field ecologist or for someone who is a little more experienced and would like to join a company that is growing and developing rapidly.

Are you committed and enthusiastic and willing to develop your skills by gaining experience and learning on the job as well as working with our skilled and experienced senior consultants in order to keep your professional development growing?

This means that you benefit from working closely with our knowledgeable senior team and learn through others experience and knowledge, which is something we know works well and you can gain so much from.

However, our learning doesn't stop there, and we invest in our staff, allowing you to be able to grow your career in return for your commitment and hard work to enims, who supports you as you develop.

Your skills will start with being able to support the delivery side of our business. This will involve being on site and supporting our clients.

You will be able to talk to clients and understand their goals and share your knowledge to the team who will be there to support you to enable the clients project to run smoothly.

You will be able to identify and think of solutions to ecological constraints, using your education to guide you with local and national frameworks and legislation and for the improvement of biodiversity.

You will be able to draw on your influencing skills to support the team on site to be able to understand the need to ensure that the ecology of the site is protected and enhanced and will be able to report back to your senior team to demonstrate your input into the project.

Part of this role will include "office based" work, this is just as important as the on-site works; without all of the team doing their roles, whether on site or at the office, the work we do will not be to the excellent standards we are proud to promote.

Therefore, by you playing your part and taking responsibility for what you are tasked with, caring about the outcome and ensuring that your input is not just recognised, but you are proud that you supported, it means that we are able to deliver to the highest standard.

We expect our team to be willing and able to do the job that they have signed up for in turn we will provide an excellent atmosphere for you to be a part of our growing business.

It must be noted that this is not your average 9-5 job, we would like to attract individuals that will recognise the needs of the business and will be flexible in their approach to their weekly hours, particularly through the busy seasonal aspect of the role.

We offer support and kindness in our everyday practice, and we expect that you give all you can to do the best job and to meet the needs of the business acknowledging that the business you are a part of is made up of your colleagues and that hard work and dedication will ensure its success and the success of those within it.
