Who we're looking forThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Software Asset Manager who wants to broaden their skillset beyond the world of effective licence positions and compliance reporting into that of vendor management, contract negotiations and cost base control.

The team
You will report into the Head of Software Asset Management as part of a team of four who comprise the Global Technology SAM team.
What you'll do- Investigate the use of software throughout the Schroders business
- Identify where solutions are duplicated
- Uncover cost efficiencies and savings
- Review SaaS usage across the Schroders estate
- Provide efficient and effective reporting into senior stakeholders.
- Experience working either as a Software Asset Manager or in a similar role in a SAM environment (e.g. Software Consultant)
- SMElevel understanding of Snow Licence Manager or similar SAM tool, e.g. Flexnet, ServiceNow.
- Strong understanding of licensing models deployed by core vendors (e.g. Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, etc.)
- Experience of calculating effective licence positions
- Exposure to, and practical experience of, Cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, etc.)
- Software Asset lifecycle experience.
- Experience of negotiating contracts with Software vendors
- Ability to produce clear and concise reporting documents using tools such as PowerBI and Tableau
- Experience of using Oracle Fusion (or similar Finance system) for
- Previous experience of working with software vendors in an audit defence scenario
- Practical knowledge or/and certification of any of ISO 19770, ITIL, CSAM.
- Ability to create software policy documents.
- Strong personality and be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Receptive to other people's ideas and respond constructively to change
