The Baby Equipment Bank Coordinator will work in our usual compassionate, non-judgemental, friendly way to offer families support and reassurance.
Home-Start's Baby Equipment Bank Coordinator will:
- Contribute to the effective day to day operation of the scheme in accordance with the Home-Start Governing documents, Standards and Methods of Practice, Home-Start Agreement and Quality Assurance Standards
- Maintain high standards of practice in supporting families within the Home-Start model
- Implement good safeguarding practice in all areas of work
- Manage the project operations
- Work to increase personal and corporate donations
- Transport items that have been donated to our storage unit, collect items being offered
- Manage stock (safety check items going in/out, add and remove stock from inventory, cleaning stock)
Supporting the work of the scheme
- Undertake work as delegated by the Senior Coordinator/Director to support the strategic management, development and future funding of the scheme.
- Supporting the implementation and review of Home-Start policies and procedures
- Complying with the scheme's administration, monitoring and financial systems
- Attending and contributing to the fundraising committee work and events
- Promoting the work if the scheme as required by the Director/senior coordinator
- Contributing to and supporting the development of Home-Start locally, regionally and nationally
Support for families
- Receiving and prioritising referrals
- Contact families/referrers to discuss referrals if required, providing a confidential, nonjudgemental and friendly approach
- Completing structured risk assessments
- Introducing families to appropriate support
- Provide good quality baby equipment as per need and requirements and in line with current safety advice
- To undertake designated responsibilities to safeguard and promote children's welfare
Managing Volunteers
- Recruiting, selecting, and preparing suitable volunteers
- Develop a training package for volunteers
- Matching and introducing volunteers to families
- Providing recorded support, supervision and ongoing guidance for volunteers
- Contributing as directed to the delivery of the Home-Start preparation course in full and to a high standard to all prospective volunteers
Working In Partnership
- Ensuring appropriate liaison with referrers and other professionals
- Networking appropriately within the community
- Focus networking on promoting Perinatal health and well being and Home-Start Wrexham's support options during this period
Continuous Professional Development
- To keep up to date with current practice and legislation
- To undertake appropriate continuous professional development activities
Job Type:
Part-time
Pay:
£11,000.00-£12,500.00 per year
Expected hours: 16 per week
