Senior Mental Health Practitioner, Band - Nights & Twilight Shifts

Opportunity available for a Senior Mental Health Practitioner to work within South Central Ambulance Service, Based in Bicester.


The team sits within the South Central Ambulance Service with the role predominately be providing a Mental Health triage service to patients contacting 111 or 999 South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) services.

This role involves triaging of all MH needs and connecting or signposting patients to the right MH provision to meet their needs in a timely way.

As part of this role you will work as part of the team comprising of band 6s and 5s delivering mental health triage assessment on the phone within NHS.

As part of this role, you must have communication and negotiation skills, Clinical risk assessment and management skills, Safeguarding awareness, Clinical decision makinh, Prioritising and delivering safe care and must have worked in the community settings for example CMHT/AMHT, Crisis Team etc.

The hours for this role are 37.5 per week with the aim to start ASAP. The shifts for this role are nights and twilight shifts so flexibility is key.

The hourly rate for this role is:

Saturday / Nights:
£33.00 Per Hour

Sunday / Bank Holidays:
£36.00 Per Hour

We offer a £250 sign up bonus for any new nurses that register with our agency. This will be paid in your first pay packet.

We also offer a £250 referral fee bonus for any nurse you refer who we place in to work on a 3 month contract.
