Description

Are you mad about cinema and passionate about film? Onscreen Magazine has an exciting opportunity for a well-organised and self-motivated Graphic Designer to join our team.

We are a national film magazine and print over 600,000 magazines annually that can be found in over 85 cinemas across the UK.

Each issue is bespoke to each venue with their own branded cover, contents page, and 3 internal pages.

Onscreen is a 32-page magazine full of engaging content entirely geared to promoting film and the cinemagoing experience.

With a primarily bi-monthly print run, the magazine contains previews of all the major forthcoming theatrical releases in a 4-month period (What's On and Coming Soon), full-page advertorial previews from our contributors (Features), and full-page adverts.

Plus, we have our regular fun, creative, and interactive pages too (Guess Who, Trivia, Competition, etc).

Each version of the magazine contains local advertisements that you will also be responsible for designing.

You will sometimes be provided with content to design the advert, but other times you will need to source this from their websites, social channels, etc in order to design the advert, so initiative is also a must.

This requires very good organisational skills to ensure the correct advert is placed in the correct magazine and that they are all signed off before the print deadline.

Within the advertising package, some clients additionally take out foyer screen adverts so some knowledge of digital design is desired.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and creative graphic designer to join a passionate, fun, and energetic team in a relaxed office environment (we even have doughnut Fridays)

You'll be employed on a 12-month paternity contract, working 40 hours per week, predominantly Monday to Friday (flexibility is often required to meet key deadlines).

The position would start around mid-March for full training and handover.

There may be an opportunity to continue with employment after 12 months which can be discussed if you get to interview.

You will be entitled to 28 days annual leave.
