Funeral Service Arranger (Part-Time)
Hours: 19.32 per week working Wednesday (13:00 - 17:00), Thursday & Fridays (09:00 - 17:00)
Frederick W. Paine Funeral Directors, Worcester Park, Surrey
£13,190pa pro-rata salary + company benefits


We are recruiting for a Funeral Service Arranger to join our team on a part-time basis in one of our most esteemed branches, based in Worcester Park, Surrey.

Frederick W Paine Funeral Directors have been serving our cherished local community since 1942, they have many years of experience conducting compassionate, dignified funerals, and helping families arrange a meaningful celebration of life for their loved ones.

As a Funeral Service Arranger, you are at the very heart of our business in a client-facing role representing our brand and company in supporting the bereaved at what can be one of the most difficult times of their lives.

This is a role which requires a balance of empathy with resilience, however, can be very rewarding and give provide you with a real sense of job satisfaction.


Alongside a highly collaborative, dedicated, and supportive management team, we will give you the room to stretch and develop within the industry.

With both training and learning opportunities, our dedicated Learning and Development team and management team will ensure that you are delivered full training to confidently perform this role and will also aim to promote your progression.

Other duties will include:


  • Create a welcoming, safe and caring atmosphere in branch.
  • Provide professional and respectful service, and maintain high standards of personal and branch presentation, conscious that you represent our brand when working with and in front of client families.
  • Arrange funerals according to Company guidelines ensuring that the full range of services and products are offered, thereby addressing the needs of the client.
  • Ensure that any enquiries regarding the purchase of Pre-Paid Funeral Plans are referred to your local Funeral Plan Consultant and dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of the highest levels of respectful deceased care; when in the vicinity of or working with the deceased, maintain appropriate respectful behaviour and dignity.
  • Be prepared in advance of any Client visits and ensure that those wishing to spend time with their loved ones are offered a warm and appropriate welcome and level of support.

  • Administration experience where attention to detail is important
  • Emotionally intelligent; able to flex communication to meet the needs of others
  • Well organised, with excellent attention to detail
  • Supportive to colleagues and contribute to positive working relationships
  • Reliable; both in terms of timekeeping and fulfilling agreement
  • Well presented and professional at all times.
  • Committed to delivering a funeral service at the highest of standards

Advantageous:


  • Previous experience in the industry, though this is not required, as full training will be provided.
