The post will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the HR strategic transformation plans through effective Monitoring, planning, design, development and delivery of projects across the workforce service and systems whilst working across the Workforce Division including Engagement and OD, HR Advisory and Workforce Systems.


Provides support to the Workforce Divisional plans, to ensure that systems are in place to provide timely and accurate delivery of relevant information requirements with particular attention to project delivery, risks and evaluation.

The post holder will maintain plans and coordinate managerial, administrative and secretarial duties for monitoring progress of projects and performance improvement.


The Post holder will be an enabler for change, through communicating and influencing, this is a great role to be exposed to strategic HR workstreams and issues.

The post holder will be Responsible for supporting the Christie People Plan.

This will involve working closely with the Heads of services and internal Workforce departmental colleagues to ensure the delivery of strategy and activities in relation to the Christie people agenda.

Acting as project support to the division, you will ensure a robust and consistent project management approach is established, whilst building the ability to track and report progress of multiple projects on behalf of the Workforce division.

Working across the organistion to support the communication and engagement of projects and initiatives, you will need to be a strong communicator and using both negotiation and influencing skills.

The Christie is one of Europe's leading cancer centres, treating over 60,000 patients a year.

We are based in Manchester and serve a population of 3.2 million across Greater Manchester & Cheshire, but as a national specialist around 15% patients are referred to us from other parts of the country.

We provide radiotherapy through one of the largest radiotherapy departments in the world; chemotherapy on site and through 14 other hospitals; highly specialist surgery for complex and rare cancer; and a wide range of support and diagnostic services.

We are also an international leader in research, with world first breakthroughs for over 100 years. We run one of the largest early clinical trial units in Europe with over 300 trials every year.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Responsible for supporting the Christie People Plan and associated plans.
  • The post holder will be responsible for collecting and analysing data for reporting and evaluation purposes.
  • To act as project support ensuring a robust and consistent project management approach. Building ability to track and report progress of multiple projects on behalf of the Workforce division.
  • Support the development of a Workforce project to be outward looking and receptive to new ideas and approaches, consider social, economic, and technological influences
  • Stakeholder engagement and facilitate research, plan to support the scoping and delivery of projects
  • Develop initiatives and activities that enable competent managers to effectively understand, utilise and deploy effective techniques to workforce transformation and HR resourcing systems and data
  • Plans and manages elements of a range of projects across the division, with on going planning and adjustment to plans require
  • Ensures that regular progress reports, data sources and overall programme details are produced and submitted to Divisional Board
  • Provide support to enable and implement new initiatives in relation to all workforce activity, including engagement work, to provide cultural change support the vision, and values of the organisation through behavioural change
  • Develop and facilitate training sessions if required that support the development of managers and leaders or project success across the organisation.
  • Develop effective processes and guidance for managers to enable transformational change, resulting in the modernisation and development of the organisation
  • Develop policies that are streamlined accessible to all staff, supported by the development of relevant guidance, templates, and training documents to ensure full and thorough implementation.
  • Support the implementation of workforce strategies, including recruitment and retention, wellbeing, engagement, equality, and diversity.
  • Ensure the effective provision of accurate and timely workforce data and support managers to interpret and analyse data to enable productivity gains including supporting the development of project plans to target and improve performance within relevant areas.
