Purpose:

Carry out the cleaning and waste removal from a range of ships tanks for both naval and commercial vessels in but not exclusively HMNB Plymouth Dockyard.

Skills:

Previous experience would be advantageous however good attitude, physically fit, able to work in a confined space and prepared to work in a physical and sometimes dirty environment are an absolute must when working as part of a team.

Tasks:

Specialist cleaning/servicing of tanks, bilges and compartments utilising high pressure jet washers and other equipment often working in a confined space environment whilst ensuring all correct PPE is used and adhering to all Health and Safety guidelines.

Supporting engineering works including but not limited to fresh and salt water pump systems, ventilation, values, pipework and hot and cold water flushing systems.

Salary uplift when acting as Team Leader/Supervisor or Authorized Person

Starting Salary
:
£10.50 per hour + overtime at
£15.75 after 40 hours per week

All on job and Health & Safety training plus PPE will be provided.
