1 x 30 hour post available


The post holder will provide administrative support to the Research Delivery Manager and a variety of CRN West Midlands staff including Research Delivery Managers, Speciality Leads, Portfolio Managers and CRN nursing staff.

This will include typing and sending correspondence on their behalf, arranging appointments and providing support to meetings.


  • Act as first point of contact for generic inbox. Redirecting or taking messages and using initiative to deal with queries where appropriate. Maintain up to date contact lists and distribution groups to facilitate communication across the Network.
  • Arrange meetings and appointments for the Research Delivery Manager and other staff, as required. This will involve managing diaries, clarifying arrangements, collecting and collating all supporting paperwork and making travel arrangements.
  • Arrange and provide administrative support for meetings, including minute taking, preparing agendas and following up actions, compiling and distributing papers, booking meeting rooms and arranging catering, providing travel directions and acting as the first point of contact for members regarding meeting arrangements and attendance. This may require travel to, and attendance at, meetings across the CRN geographical area.

Provide support to the CRN:

West Midlands team booking venues for training events, maintaining attendance registers, collating training packs and ensuring various materials (presentations, course materials etc.) are available.

Provide support to the CRN:

  • Handle CRN office mail. Sort, distribute and handle incoming mail in a timely and efficient
manner. Ensure that outgoing mail is collected and distributed. Arrange the receipt and delivery of courier mail and parcels whilst working on site.

  • Assist the Business, Governance and Administration Manager with the maintenance of robust office systems and procedures, e.g. central filing systems, locking up procedures and fire instructions whilst working on site.
  • Assist with Procurement of goods and services for the CRN office and maintain paperwork for these.
  • Keep up to date with the developments in the CRN and in the national CRN.
  • Any other duties of a similar nature as requested by the management team.
