Due to a significant increase in workload, my Crewe based client is currently looking to appoint a Financial Accountant for approximately 6 months (Day rate).


The Financial Accountant will be responsible for working with the MD to transform the finance and commercial delivery models and continuously seek to improve the services provided to internal customers.

The postholder will assist the MD in ensuring financialstability, strategic financial planning, risk management, audit insights and investment governance.

To be successful, you will need to have a real appreciation of operational delivery to work with the senior management team to help them understand future revenue and cost projections.

You will also work with operational teams to help them model different futurescenarios.


The role will include:

  • Control of all financial aspects of the business
  • Lead the budget preparation
  • Managing daily payments, records & receipts
  • Review Bank reconciliations
  • Preparing financial and management information for the MD
  • Working with the operational teams to assist them in understanding their financial information
  • Review and manage the sales ledger and credit control activities
  • Manage the company's financial system
  • Undertake adhoc project costing for new business
  • Manage the implementation of new IT systems
  • Assisting the MD with other adhoc tasks
  • Have experience of operating in a commercial environment and a strategic outlook in assessing new and ongoing activities
  • Have exceptional attention to detail with excellent time management & prioritisation skill
  • Well developed & demonstratable problem solving skills and an excellent cando attitudeHave the ability to liaise with stakeholder management at all levels effectively
