Job Duties:


  • Deliver engaging and interactive teaching sessions to students in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Follow lesson plans and ensure a structured learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive and safe learning environment
  • Provide feedback to regular teachers on student progress and any issues encountered
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as required by the school

Required Qualifications:


  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching environments

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:


  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
  • Previous experience in a teaching role
  • Knowledge of the UK national curriculum
  • Strong classroom management skills

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Additional teaching certifications or specialisations
  • Experience working in diverse school settings

Working Conditions:


  • Parttime hours with flexibility in scheduling
  • Working in various schools within the Ipswich region
  • Potential for short notice assignments

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
