Hygiene Operative, Nights 4 on 4 off

Reporting to:
Hygiene Manager

Role Description:

As a Hygiene Operative, you will play a significant role in the company. The role will vary, and you may be required to work across all areas of the factory. Previous Hygiene experience is preferred, but not essential, as full training will be given.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance, demonstrate general cleanliness to comply with company regulations, wearing the correct and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as specified.
To carry out scheduled daily and weekly cleaning tasks.
To dismantle and reassemble production lines (Some heavy lifting may be involved).
To deep clean production areas on a weekly basis.
Have a complete understanding of all areas you will be required to work.
To be comfortable working as part of a team, or on your own initiative.
You will be required to work on a 4 on 4 off 12hour nights shift system.
Provide cover for colleagues in times of sickness and to cover holidays.
Actively support and promote the 'One Team' ethos of working and supporting between departments.
The ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment.
Post cleaning checks of ALL areas to ensure all areas have been cleaned to the required standards.
Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly, and in a timely manner.
Ensure all tasks undertaken, comply with the company procedures, for Health and Safety reasons and Hygiene standards.
Ensuring that the cleaning equipment, and PPE are functioning correctly at all times.
Report any incidents or concerns to your supervisor or manager.
Maintain and replenish stocks of cleaning materials and report any shortages to the appropriate person(s).
To be fully able to safely prepare, handle, and dispose of cleaning chemicals and disinfectants used in line with your hygiene duties.
Ensure safety signage is always used when undertaking cleaning duties, e.g Wet Floor / Spillages.
Carry out other reasonable tasks, as directed by management.
Have basic literacy and numerical skills.
Required to undertake periodic training, as and when required.
Maintain a proactive and positive approach to the challenges of the job, coping with frustrations and time constraints.
To behave appropriately, maintain selfesteem and professionalism and to earn and maintain the respect of colleagues, leaders and supervisors.
Be open minded with a willingness to adopt new methods and changes as required.
Adopt high professional and personal standards.
Have proven experience working both alone and as part of a team.
Ability to communicate with and engage the hygiene team.
Be flexible to support the needs of the business and support your team.
Must have an eye for detail and a passion for high standards.
