Enjoy figures? Hands on and looking to join a wonderful team? Then take a look at our new Accounts Assistant role that we are working on for our client based in the outskirts of Horsham.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Creating and processing payment runs
- Processing monthly payroll journals
- Producing monthly commission statements
- Assisting Company Accountant with any journals
- Maintaining all accounts spreadsheets
- Verifying balances in account books and rectifying any discrepancies
- Posting intercompany charges
- Controlling credit and chasing debt.
- Allocating received payments
- Invoicing, tracking and record keeping for all orders
- Entering purchase invoices
- Enter all debit card and Paypal transactions
- Entering all direct debit transactions
- Processing staff expenses
- Dealing with and raising supplier queries
- Supplier account, credit card and petty cash reconciliations.
- Checking and filing supplier statements.
- Dataentry to purchase ledger using Sage 50 accounts.
- Taking and allocating payments.
- Administrating sales orders and invoicing.
- Dealing with chargebacks
- Raising distributor invoices
- Reconciling PayPal account
Key skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and take direction accurately
- Analytical thinker and problem solver
- Competent IT skills, particularly proficiency with spreadsheet software
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Administrative skills
- Organised and methodical
- Knowledge of policies, systems, and financial structures of a company
- Quick learner
Person Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Excellent organisation skills
- Great attention to detail
- Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
