Description
The post holder will provide specialist input for adults requiring both inpatient and community rehabilitation primarily in the West area of North Wales, however flexible working and cross cover with the other 2 Consultant Rehabilitation Colleges will be key.
There are currently 3 inpatient rehabilitation units and a locked rehabilitation ward across the region.You will actively work with the MDT and provide clinical leadership to ensure good quality holistic care is provided.
The post holder will be clinically responsible for those patients under their care and would be expected to work within the framework of the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010.
The post holder will provide specialist rehabilitation and recovery service for the adult population of the West area.
You will work within the legislative arrangements of the Mental Health Measure (Wales 2010) providing medical leadership to the CRT.
You will have inpatient facilities currently at Carreg Fawr rehabilitation unit, Bryn y Neuadd, Llanfairfechan (currently 8 beds) as well as responsibility for patients admitted to units in central area as agreed by the clinic director.
There is currently a program of service redesign so the location of services and numbers of inpatients may vary as this progresses.
You will have access to an office, full time secretarial support and IT facilities.
There is the possibility of supervising a doctor in training (CT1-ST6), but it depends on the training needs and seniority of the post holder.
