  • This is an exciting opportunity to join the council's Spatial Planning Team as a Principal Planning Officer.
  • We have an uptodate Local Plan that sets the spatial vision for the Borough and sets out ambitious plans for growth and we are looking for dynamic and motivated staff to help deliver key projects. The role will give you the opportunity to mentor junior members of staff whilst taking responsibility for specific projects and spatial policy areas.
  • Working for Calderdale will also give you an excellent insight into a wide range of planning considerations across urban and rural settlements within highly attractive landscapes. Applications will be considered from those who can demonstrate a recognised degree providing eligibility for membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
  • Our Vision for Calderdale in 2024 is a place where everyone can reach their potential and lead a larger life. We will be a place where talent and enterprise thrives. We will be defined by our innate kindness and resilience and be measured by how our people and communities care and support each other, but most of all we will stand out and be distinctive.
