The Diocese of Ely Multi-Academy Trust (DEMAT)

is seeking to appoint a

Finance Assistant

35 hours per week

Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm

Salary:
£25,000 - £30,000

The Finance Assistant role is a generalist role with a focus on supporting a portfolio of
DEMAT schools, ensuring that the schools are supported in all financial matters, working closely with the Headteachers and school administrators.

The role will report to the Hub Finance Manager and support the wider finance team. The friendly and knowledgeable team will support you as you develop your knowledge and skills.

The Finance Assistant will act as a first point of contact and provide support and guidance on a range of finance matters to senior leaders within
DEMAT schools.

The ability to forge strong working relationships and have both time management and prioritisation skills are essential to be able to provide proactive advice and guidance on a range of finance matters.

The successful applicant will:

Be experienced working in a similar finance role
Have generalist finance experience in all key areas financial planning, monthly reporting and analysis, and balance sheet reviews
Have experience of working in a team
Be able to develop good working relationships.
Be resilient and be able to prioritise and set clear priorities in managing their workload.
Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well at all levels.
