The majority of the company's core clients are local authorities and publicly funded trunk road and motorway maintenance operating companies.

Summary of Role:


Due to a recent vacancy and as we develop and enhance our business compliance systems, we have identified a requirement for an experienced Civil Engineering/Construction Technician to assist us in helping us transform to the next level to ensure conformance to safety, environmental and quality standards and ensure the delivery of a high-quality product and service to the customer.


The safety administrator will be responsible for the compiling & issue of Construction Phase Plans and updating of compliance documentation, filing & record keeping, document control and data logging on our contract management system.


As well as supporting the operations management team with projects to improve compliance with safety, quality, environmental impact and site maintenance.


Key Tasks:


  • Working with and providing support to the operations team.
  • Manage contractor health & safety information, including regular site inspections.
  • Compiling & issue of all site related Construction/H&S documentation (Construction Phase Plans, Method Statements & Risk Assessments).
  • Other general office duties (Preparing documents, spreadsheets)
  • File worksheets and site documentation.
  • Contribute positively to department problem solving activities and continuous improvement, while being open minded to alternative approaches.
  • Support work towards maintaining Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Management System certification.
  • Support the management team in ensuring that standards (Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality Work Processes) are followed.


From time to time you may be expected to be part of special projects as are reasonably required of your job role.

You are responsible for your allocated workload and must meet all targets as agreed with your Line Manager. You must contribute towards the smooth running of the organisation generally.


Qualifications and Skills:

Proven track record in Civil Engineering / Construction industry.

Civil Engineering / Construction (HNC level or above)

Health and Safety knowledge / qualifications would be an advantage.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.

Professional and friendly demeanour.

Previous experience in safety administrative role is preferred but not required.
