We are seeking a General Assistant, Cleaning to make a real difference to the lives of our residents.
Located in Torquay, with easy access to the town centre and seafront, Dunboyne Court provides apartments and communal facilities for over 55s or people with long-term care needs.
Dunboyne Court consists of forty five properties that welcome adults with a variety of care needs, enabling them to maintain an independent lifestyle within homely environments and as part of a friendly community.

The role of General Assistant, Cleaning will include:
- Undertaking general duties as assigned, such as maintaining the cleanliness of all communal areas, offices and the kitchen
- Ensuring all cleaning duties are completed to a high standard
- Carrying out programmed private room cleans and laundry service
- Identifying and reporting potential faults and hazards on site, to maintain a safe environment
- Maintaining stock levels, restocking as required and ensuring equipment is used in line with guidance notes
- Helping to prepare meals and drinks, following food hygiene standards and ensuring the needs of our residents are met
- Ensuring residents' privacy and dignity are maintained and respected
Skills and experiences:
- Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is desirable
- Some experience of working in a domestic/catering environment
- Level 2 diploma in housekeeping/catering, or willing to work towards
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
- A general understanding of health and safety in the work place
