Job Purpose
We are looking for a data protection specialist with a passion for privacy and data protection, to manage ongoing compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Manager, Data Privacy Programs as required in the delivery of the Data Protection Program
- Document and evaluate data processing activities
- Work closely with Sales, Product, and other teams to create/implement tools, automation, training, to improve data privacy protections and ensure endtoend data privacy compliance.
- Maintain records to support the data protection compliance project (and audits where necessary)
- Evaluate 3RD party risk assessment about processors, subprocessors and related data protection contracts
- Participate in the implementation and embedding the data governance organizational model
- Manage the compliance tools and systems for data security and compliance
- Work with the business and technical stakeholders, providing advice and guidance on data quality standards to support delivery of workstreams and projects
Required Skills:
Skills:
- 25 years prior experience in the field of Data Privacy Risk Management
- Proven knowledge in European data protection laws and practices including an indepth understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR),
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and interact with various stakeholders
- Excellent analytical and conceptional thinking paired with the ability to understand multiple interdependencies
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and interact with various stakeholders
- Prior experience conducting internal and external risk assessments and providing guidance to functional teams with the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of control processes, documentation, and compliance measures and / or remediation items and implementing and enforcing policies and procedures
- Experience performing third party compliance assurance assessments
- Excellent client relationship and customer service skills, with a clear client focus.
- Proactive, selfstarter who requires mínimal support
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills in English and French (desirable, not essential)
