    Description

    About the Role

    As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a critical role in supporting the Commercial function within the Field Services division of Jacobs CMS. Your primary focus will be to develop close working relationships with project teams, internal stakeholders, and client representatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Work with the Commercial Manager to ensure consistency and best practice ways of working across the business unit, driving continuous improvement.
    • Coach operational personnel on Contract Administration, Contract Risk, Procurement, Forecasting, and Contract Profitability.
    • Collaborate with the Project Controls Manager to produce monthly project cost reports.
    • Evaluate and implement subcontract arrangements using NEC contract documents.
    • Establish administrative processes for subcontract management, including change controls, early warning, compensation events, changes to scope, and payment.
    • Support the Project Manager in resolving commercial issues with clients and implementing strategies to avoid litigation or claims.
    • Manage subcontracts from initial placement to final account, collaborating closely with procurement, planning, and delivery teams to meet project requirements.
