Description

Sheffield Vision Centre is a private refractive surgery provider and retail opticians, we are owned by Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and based in the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.


We are looking for an Optical Clinical Assistant with experience of working in a retail opticians environment to join our team to provide excellent service to our patients.


This vacancy is for an additional OCA to join our current team of six OCA's, a Business Coordinator, two Dispensing Opticians and several Optometrists.

Sheffield Vision Centre offers laser refractive eye surgery and lens based refractive eye surgery to private patients. There is also a retail Opticians providing routine eye-care, spectacles and contact lenses. The income generated is used to fund the purchase of state-of-the-art laser treatment platforms.

This is a varied role which involves working in the NHS Contact Lens Department and Sheffield Vision Centre.

The successful individual will be confident, energetic and have an eagerness to learn.

To work alongside our team in the day-today running of our clinics

To provide contact lens insertion and removal teaches for both hard and soft contact lenses

To provide all reception and other administrative tasks as required

To deal with patients face-to-face including in a retail environment

To carry out all duties in relation to the dispensing and fitting of spectacles

To actively and positively promote Sheffield Vision Centre
