ABOUT THE ROLE


You will be responsible for the collection of monies owed to Oxford University Press from Domestic and International accounts within credit control policies and procedures.

This includes Print, Digital and Intellectual property rights. In this role you will ensure that collection targets are met in-line with selected range of accounts assigned.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Contact a range of accounts for due debt and overdue for payment to minimize bad debt in line with agreed policy.
  • Contact customers who have exceeded credit limits and terms to aid collection efforts to facilitate continuous supply

  • Maintain customer comments on accounts to reflect actions taken and ensure all internal controls and audit trial are adhered to.
  • Build effective internal and external relationships with all stakeholders.
  • To achieve agreed cash collections target in line with credit strategy and escalate any issues of risk and concern to line managers
  • Work with all the CAR and MD&Q teams to have the monies correctly applied and to take forward any queries raised by the customer.
  • Approval to assign credit limits and payment terms within agreed matrix levels on active accounts.
  • Collate supporting information for approval on extended credit requests and payment plans as per credit policy.
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

This is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
