SEN Classroom Assistant Wanted


Are you an experienced Classroom Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? Classroom Recruiters is thrilled to be recruiting for a dedicated SEN Classroom Assistant to join a prestigious school in Burton area.

Role Overview:


As an SEN Classroom Assistant, you'll play a vital role in the school's SEND team, providing dedicated one-on-one support to a child with complex needs.

Working closely with the class teacher and other members of the support staff, you'll help create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide oneonone support to a child with complex needs, ensuring their individual learning and developmental goals are met.
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing tailored educational plans and strategies to support the student's progress.
  • Foster a positive and supportive relationship with the student, promoting their social and emotional wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with other members of the SEND team to ensure a holistic approach to supporting the student's needs.
  • Monitor and record the student's progress, providing regular feedback to the class teacher and SEND coordinator.

What We're Looking For:


  • Experience working as a Classroom Assistant, ideally in a SEND setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with children with additional needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of children with complex needs.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs of the student and the classroom environment.
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.

£18,000.00-£21,250.00 per year
