Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust are looking to recruit a highly motivated, experienced and dynamic Head of Service to lead and be responsible for the provision of an effective and efficient Property service which meets the demands of the Trust, and operates within Trust guidelines and budgetary restraints to drive forward the delivery of services, maximising both value for money and service strategies.


This is a senior role within the organisation and the post holder will ensure effective implementation and management of policies and procedures in relation to property & projects including HR/Staff Management, Capital Planning, Health & Safety and Risk Management ensuring compliance with building standards.


The Head of Property and Projects will implement the Estates Strategy and associated delivery plan, ensuring that financial and estates management resources are correctly planned and prioritised.


The postholder will also be responsible for the continuous review of the Estates Strategy to ensure that it is fit for purpose and aligns with the wider strategic direction of the Trust.


Reporting to the Associate Director of Estates, Fleet and Facilities, the postholder will coordinate and manage the delivery of key high profile Trust projects utilising the full range of NHS procurement routes and project management strategies, ensuring that these fully meet service aims and the Trust's clinical strategy.


The postholder will be required to implement the development of the electronic Estates Terrier and will be responsible for the management, updating and reporting elements of this, providing reports for a variety of purposes.


The Property and Projects Team will also be responsible for the day to day property management of the Trust estate including Landlord and Tenant matters, rent reviews, lease renewals, leases, licences, acquisitions and disposals, under the leadership of the postholder.
