Landau Forte Academy Tamworth Sixth Form & QEMS is a popular oversubscribed academy in Tamworth with a very large and expanding Sixth Form.

You will be supported in your career through our extensive CPD programme including the opportunity to complete nationally recognised qualifications.

We are looking for a versatile and outgoing individual to join the Academy as a Casual Assistant to support our community hire and lettings activities.

The hours are not fixed at this point, but we expect a consistent pattern of hours to become available to the successful applicant soon after starting.


The type of person we are looking for is likely to possess infectious enthusiasm, a reliable and highly organised individual, who can multi-task, with a professional and friendly disposition.

He or she will be resilient, driven, determined, and ambitious.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a unique venue with a range of visiting events. The Academy is known for its excellent facilities and friendly staff. This is an opportunity to work within a dedicated events team to provide excellent customer service.


This post is based between the Landau Forte Academy sites across Tamworth (LFAT QEMS, LFAT SF and LFAT Amington) and will report directly to the LFE Operations Manager.

Job description
Duties for this job will include (but are not limited to):

  • Front of House responsibilities,
  • Equipment and Facilities set up and pack down,
  • Serving drinks and snacks and Cleaning bar equipment and facilities
  • Welcome artists to the theatre, work closely with them to achieve the best performance standard possible and help build the reputation with artists as an excellent theatre in which to perform.
  • Work as part of a team to deliver the varied tasks across the school, showing flexibility to meet the demands required.
  • Work within the theatre's Health and Safety Policy and to be mindful of the safety of theatre staff, members of visiting companies and members of the public
  • Work closely with all LFE staff to help ensure the comfort, safety and enjoyment of audiences.
  • Undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time that are consistent with the purpose of the job.
  • Attend any training required as deemed necessary by Landau Forte College Derby


Any other appropriate duties and responsibilities relevant to the post as directed by the Chief Executive Officer, Principal, Head of Operations, Office Manager or Operations Manager.

Landau Forte Academy QEMS & Tamworth Sixth Form


Landau Forte Academy QEMS joined the Landau Forte Charitable Trust in September 2011 and delivers education to 11-16 year olds.

Landau Forte Academy Sixth Form is a purpose-built establishment providing Level 3 courses, both Advanced Level and BTEC, for the whole of Tamworth and beyond.

The academies are located on a shared campus, but both operate from their own facilities, with Landau Forte Academy Sixth Form having new bespoke, accommodation, which opened in September 2011, with a new Sports Hall that opened in 2013.
