Job Description:

We are looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to manage H&S for construction projects within bp pulse UK. You will be responsible for managing HSSE assurance activities and day to day HSSE queries.

You will also be responsible for the management of the HSSE elements of contractor management and oversight framework within bp pulse.


Key Responsibilities & Tasks

Construction Project HSSE support

  • Provide HSSE and technical support for bp pulse UK construction projects.

Contractor Management and Oversight

  • Support the bp pulse Procurement Team in the management of the bp pulse contractor assurance programme.
  • Focal point for the HSSE contractor screening process including risk ranking, evaluation, and ongoing auditing of contractors.

Audit, Assurance and Self-Verification

  • Develop and maintain the bp pulse selfverification process.
  • Produce the bp pulse annual selfverification programme.

Qualifications:


  • Professional HSSE status (NEBOSH or equivalent)
  • Previous experience managing H&S within a construction environment and SMSTS Accreditation is advantageous
  • Proven HSSE experience, preferably with some exposure to operations & contractor activities
  • Strong CDM knowledge and experience
  • Experience in leadership and working in roles providing support across a diverse range of activities to several different stakeholders
  • Strong networking, facilitation and influencing skills required
Additional Information


This role requires attendance at our Milton Keynes office 1-2 days per week and regular site / field based visits outside of this so the ability to travel is essential.

You will be provided a company electric vehicle in this role.
