Our client is a successful small group accountancy practice, based in the East/South East of England. Due to their current growth plans, they are looking for a full-time Corporate/General Practice Senior to support their team with audit and accountingduties, and wider client services.

About the role
This role would suit a diligent professional, looking to take the next step in their career.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Corporate/General Practice Senior will be responsible for undertaking high quality audit, accounts preparation and tax complianceservices for a range of business clients.


Key aspects of the role include:

  • Being accountable for the provision of audit and non-audit assignments, and for accounting services
  • including corporate and personal tax returns, and special services for a portfolio of clients;
  • Taking responsibility for the planning, performance and preparation of draft accounts and tax computations for manager or partner review, providing projections forecasting information, P11D and payroll, and consolidations;
  • Preparing budgets for accounts work, managing budgets and compliance processes;
  • Managing and liaising with a portfolio of clients, developing relationships and identifying opportunities for additional services, and providing an indepth knowledge and advice service to clients;
  • Producing and reviewing VAT return forms, communicating with clients when complete and submitting to HMRC, preparing selfassessment tax returns, business and partnership tax returns to include detailed capital gains computations and preparation of schedulesof income from property;
  • Reviewing work of staff, ensuring quality in compliance with professional standards and requirements, and delegating tasks effectively.
