  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Registered with the GMC
  • Postgraduate medical degree

Experience:

  • Knowledge of working practices in an NHS cellular pathology laboratory
  • Knowledge of macroscopic and microscopic pathology to the level required to participate in macroscopic cutup and histological and cytological reporting rotas, under the supervision of a consultant
  • The decisionmaking skills needed to lead a multidisciplinary team in a complex environment
  • Excellent clinical skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and willingness to be personally accountable for actions
  • Strong written communications skills in English
  • Strong teaching skills and experience
  • Ability to organise and prioritise personal workload
  • Awareness and understanding of health, safety and security issues for self and others
