Residential services for adults, either living in accommodation at our 165 acres in Warford or in one of our houses in a local town or village in Cheshire.

SEN Tutor (College)

Due to an increase in funding for new students, we are looking to recruit a Tutor who will work with all students across all strands of a holistic multi-sensory curriculum to develop communication, self-advocacy and choice, and improve mobility and independence.
The David Lewis College provides residential specialist further education for young adults aged 16-25 with learning disabilities including autism, epilepsy and associated neurological conditions.
The College's work is divided into a number of strands. The post holder will be required to work across all of the strands.
There is a very strong emphasis on a holistic multi-sensory curriculum to develop communication, self-advocacy and choice and improve mobility and independence.
To act as a personal tutor to a group of students (if required).
In this role staff are responsible for a group of students which includes drawing up the Individual Learning Plans, setting targets and monitoring progress and achievement.
The tutor will work closely with the Student Support Coordinators and SLT to look after all aspects of the students support and welfare.
To liaise closely with key professionals to maintain a holistic and consistent approach to student support.To deliver teaching and learning within a range of environments and to develop the SEND curriculum area.
