Income Advisor (Housing Rent and Debt Recovery)

Salary:
£19,685(rising to £22,369 after passing probation)

We are a team of Housing professionals with a vison to support both our corporate plan and our customers to sustain their tenancy and thrive during these changing economic times.

Our focus will be on helping people who are experiencing financial difficultymeeting their rent obligations and you'll find that when you've worked with a resident to sort out their debt you will have taken a load off their mind.

We are looking for people who can work with the minimum supervision, are organised and can manage their own workload.

Your attitude and approach to problem solving will make you successful in this role and you will thrive on responsibility.

You will be responsiblefor your own patch of properties, managing low level current tenancy debt with a big focus on early intervention before debts get out of control, contacting tenants via varied communication methods available, setting affordable payment arrangements as wellas management of the Universal Credit Portal and day to day administrative duties like in-coming post.

Not to worry you will not be left on your own but you will be reporting to a delegated Income Officer who will support your journey with us.

Good IT skills and be experienced in the use of Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
Experience of working in a housing environment
Awareness of income recovery, welfare and housing benefits
Experience of working in difficult situations with multiple competing priorities
You will have previous customer service including administrative experience and will be able to maintain good record keeping, contributing to the team success.
