Experience Required as our next UX Designer:

  • Meeting with customers to gather information about their requirements
  • Planning and conducting remote and onsite user research/discovery and usability testing with real users to ensure the endproduct design provides users with the optimum experience in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and engagement
  • Creating user personas, user journeys and site maps
  • Ensuring that all colleagues in the development team have an understanding of UX design practices and that outputs comply with the design
  • Experience of government digital service design framework and standards)
  • Translating concepts into wireframes, prototypes and user flows using specialist tools.
  • Working collaboratively with other designers, development teams, business analysts, engineers and project managers
  • Experience of carrying out UXD within an agile delivery (SCRUM/Kanban/SAFe)
  • Running workshops for customers and internal stakeholders
  • Liaising regularly with customers to ensure that designs meet their requirements and core business objectives
  • Producing a style guide / design that adheres to design standards, guidelines and best practices

  • Artistic eye for design, ability to think creatively, accuracy, attention to detail and strong problemsolving skills
Excellent organisational, time and project management skills

  • Essential soft skills to include adaptability, communication, empathy, problemsolving and teamwork
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A team player who works well with technical and nontechnical resources
  • Ideally has experience in working with UK Central Government Departments and large change programmes
  • Ability to execute with very limited support and guidance
