Teaching Assistant required to support a KS4 child on a 1-2-1 basis.

Are you a Teaching Assistant or Classroom Assistant with SEN experience?Are you looking for a long-term role for the full academic year? This wonderful school is looking for a TeachingAssistant to support a male KS4 child on a 1-2-1 basis, providing academic, social and behavioural support.

This school is an outstanding setting for children who have faced barriers to education, leadership are supportive and the experienced team of TeachingAssistants go the extra mile to make a difference.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be supporting on a 1-2-1 basis within the classroom environment, providing intervention sessions and taking part in whole school activities (including golden time and rewards days).

You will be joining an experienced team ofTeaching Assistants and Classroom Assistants, who are experience in supporting children with additional needs.

Ideally this role requires a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, however experience working with special educational needs is essential.

Role:

  • Supporting on a 121 basis within small classes of KS4 children with additional needs
  • Having a good understanding of a range of additional needs
  • Working as a Classroom Assistant / Teaching Assistant
  • Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for pupils
  • Breaking down barriers to communication and managing behaviours
