International Summer School for Teens operates exclusive educational programmes for young people looking to enhance their learning through adventure and travel.

Study Skills teacher required for morning class at our Stirling campus.

Our Study Skills class is specifically for students who will be starting the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma / GCSE curriculum after the summer.

The class is designed to give students the confidence and technical skills required for success in their future academic studies.

Over the course of the summer, students will be introduced to topics such as:

Academic essay structure and writing
Analysing text and developing critical thinking
Communicating ideas articulately through debate and presentation
Preparing for exams such as SAT, IELTS, ACT, TOELF
Note taking techniques
Research skills
Referencing
Plagerism and academic integrity
Time management skills

All staff must participate in mandatory training session which will be scheduled prior to the start of summer school. Applicants must have reliable means of transportation to get to programming sites on a timely basis. Please be advised that as part of our interview process, we will request contact details for 2 references. All gaps in CVs must be explained satisfactorily.

Applicants will also have to provide ID and hold - or be willing to obtain - a current PVG / Enhanced Disclosure / CRB.

Salary is pro rata and dependent on experience and location.

Job Types:
Part-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 weeks

Part-time hours: 15 per week

Salary:
£35,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
