Package:

The Opportunity


We are working with an amazing special educational needs school who are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils during lessons and break times.

The class consist of year 8 and year 9 students who require support for ASC and a variety of autism across the spectrum.


Experience of supporting children with ASC and disruptive/challenging behaviour is required as well as the ability to build effective relationship with the pupils and the other member of staff.

Experience of de-escalation would be advantageous but not essential.

A calm and nurturing approach is required as the ability to identify individual triggers for behaviour and how best to support this.


Main Duties include:


  • Creating classroom displays
  • Aiding the teacher in completing daily tasks
  • Supporting across the classroom and school environment
  • Working within a diverse environment with pupils of various ability levels and backgrounds.

Key Skills:


  • Experience working with SEN students.
  • Empathetic, caring, and nurturing personality
  • Range of skills to cope with triggers for changes in behaviour
  • Comfortable being flexible and patient.
  • Strong effective communication skills

£80.00-£105.00 per day
