Description

This is an exciting and varied role providing a business support to Senior Managers within the NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board ensuring that their programmes of work are planned and managed effectively.

The post holder will be expected to be flexible and capable of working within a team or working on their own initiative to contribute to the delivery of the strategic goals.

The role involves providing and coordinating administrative/ support services; including for example, the preparation of agendas, taking notes and ensuring appropriate follow-up action as required.

Supporting Senior Managers and the team with the management of pieces of work, gathering information and undertaking enquiries as and when is necessary.


Providing professional and efficient administration support services to Senior Managers and Executive or Place Directors ensuring that all actions are completed to a high standard and within the appropriate timescales.

Deputising and providing cover for the Executive Business Support Lead.

Co-ordinating business support and ensuring that the administrative services function on a day-to-day basis, supports the needs of the Senior Managers.

Providing, receiving and collating complex and sensitive information to and from a broad range of staff from partner and stakeholder organisations.


Establishing and operating effective administrative, secretarial, and filing systems, IT systems and procedures related to the work of the office.

Co-ordinating ad-hoc work and project support, using project management including planning and organising a range of work.

Providing diary management for senior members of the Executive or Place Director and portfolio of functions, liaising with several external stakeholders across a wide geographical area.

Co-ordinating complex meetings, workshops and other related events.


These will involve multiple internal and external stakeholders, including senior clinicians, and will require persuasion and negotiating skills to gain agreement or overcome barriers to understanding to ensure that necessary preparatory work is completed in a timely fashion.

Assert a degree of authority to ensure agreement and co-operation with any matters being communicated Senior Managers, Executive or Place Directors Providing secretarial support to meetings as directed.

Communicating with members of staff across all partner organisations to enhance engagement, raising awareness of the importance of the partnership.
